When we say “Let’s start from scratch”, we mean, let’s start at the beginning or try again.

Chef: On today’s show, we are going to show you how to make Spanish Tortilla from scratch!

Example 2.
Ben: I’ve spent the day painting the kitchen but it looks terrible, I don’t know what to do!

Ben: Great idea!!!!
