This or These? – Common Mistakes Spanish Speakers Make With Learning English

LOOK AT THIS GREAT BIKE!

I understand that it is difficult for Spanish speakers to pronounce the small variations between “This” and “These”. In fact, often when Spanish speakers say these two words, they sound exactly the same. This causes many problems in English speaking and listening activities but is a huge problem when writing.

REMEMBER:
This = Singular
These = Plural

Examples:

BAD: “I think all this problems are caused by poverty”.
GOOD: “I think all these problems are caused by poverty”
