Define “To Hit The Spot”

When something hits the spot, it means that it is exactly what you wanted. For example, if you wanted a cold drink on a hot day and somebody gave you an ice-cold Coca-Cola with ice and lemon, you would say; “MMMM, that really hit the spot”.
