It’s traditional to bring an apple for your teacher, but these two Wellington House students went one step further! They bake delicious cookies at home and bring them in for the teachers and students to enjoy during their Saturday morning classes! They get an A* for effort! Bon appetite!
For 48 sugar cookies (in our case, since they are smaller, we usually get 90-100): -345 grams of flour -1 teaspoon of baking soda -1/2 teaspoon of baking powder -225 grams of softened butter -300 grams of white sugar -1 egg
1. First, preheat the oven at 190 C. 2. In a bowl, stir together the flour, the baking soda and the baking powder and set aside. 3. In a bigger bowl, cream the butter and the sugar till it’s smooth. Then, beat in the egg. Slowly add the dry ingredents (which are in that first bowl we used) and mix it well. 4. Once that’s done, roll the dough into small balls and place them in a cookie sheet or in foil. 5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until they are golden. The last step is to eat and enjoy! *you can additionally add chocolate chips or vanilla or lemon essence. Thank you and have a nice day! Andrea C and Paula E
