British English Spelling vs American English Spelling

Britain and America share a language and a similar culture. But even Brits and Americans get confused between the different spellings. Here’s what you need to know.

Top tip: It doesn’t really matter whether you use British or American spelling (unless you have been instructed to use one in particular). The key is to make sure you are consistent and to only use one, rather than mixing the two together.
